Chaplain
Rev. Dr. Andrew Shamel
Andrew is the Chaplain and Student Welfare Coordinator. You can come and talk to him for any reason, with all discussion being privileged and confidential. He will point you to someone who can help you if help is needed. Or you might just like a cup of tea and a chat or a moan. He doesn’t talk religion unless you do.
You can contact Andrew on chaplain@lincoln.ox.ac.uk or by telephone via the Lodge on 01865 279800.
Andrew studied English Literature at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, before training for ordination in the Episcopal Church at Church Divinity School of the Pacific and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
Before coming to Oxford, he served as the Episcopal Chaplain to Stanford, where he collaborated with Christian, Jewish, Hindu, and secular humanist groups to support students, faculty, and staff.
